This series of paintings started from a war artist posting in East Timor.
Jon Cattapan has used night vision goggles and their weird green to alienate and capture a world that most us don't understand.
Apparently Jon wanted to add photos to his show and Vasili said no. We're glad, it would have clashed with the paintings. The paintings are mysteries and we don't want the mysteries solved so quickly by photography.
Jon told us of looking through long range night vision goggles of seeing a field mouse 5 km away... Be scared... Be very scared...
Lets just enjoy the paintings.
Cheers to Rosie Westbrook, her music is cool.
